"I had an area around my patio that I wanted to turn into a pretty, colourful and tranquil area. I’m no gardener so needed help. Enter Christina who came to my home to discuss the area and my tastes and colour schemes and also to analyse the soil and areas of sun and shade. She produced an amazing plan and suggested plants that I had not come across before and would never have considered, to create a beautiful, tranquil garden which is a pleasure to sit beside on a summer evening. The plants that she sourced for me were of obvious high quality and have flourished in that position. I was absolutely thrilled with her work."

"Christina from Green Shoots Design came to my house to help with garden design and planting ideas after part of our front garden, around 20 square meters, was changed from lawn to a raised area in an attempt to soften and enhance the rather stark exterior features of the house. I didn’t know where to start!
Christina took great care to check what my plant type and colour preferences were, assessing the soil type, orientation of the sun and the existing surrounding features, such as the newly designed front steps and covered porch area which caught the last of the evening sun.
She carefully assessed our needs as a family considering the age of my children and availability of my free time for garden maintenance. Aside from the plants and planting we also talked about ideas such as additional seating, water features, lighting and additional pots.
Christina came up with a design proposal and a planting plan incorporating the textures, movement and colours we had discussed and which were my preference.
We settled on a selection of plants including a prunus, sorbus, clematis, alliums, poppies, cyclamen, tulips, agapanthus, bamboos and a variety of grasses in an attempt to provide year round structure with a strong colour emphasis for the summer months. Most of the plants were sourced from local nurseries at Christina’s recommendation and were of excellent quality.
She always sought to help me decide what would and wouldn’t work and I learnt a great deal from her about plants, how to plant them and how to keep them happy!
Christina is an utterly charming lady who is a pleasure to work with. She understands the beauty of a garden and how to get the best out of it in the most natural way."
